That’s right, Google has renamed G Suite (formerly Google Apps) to Google Workspace.
What does this mean for G Suite users? Well, a name change, obviously. But overall, your tools such as email, calendar, groups, docs, etc., shouldn’t change much as far as functionality.
Google’s videos do show some new icons for each of their services so you’ll likely see some visual realignment across Google’s ecosystem to match this new brand but functionality should remain largely the same.
I’ll link a couple of videos below but you’ll see Google has added some new collaboration tools such as Chat, Rooms, and a more condensed Meet interface, right within Gmail.
Interested in leveraging these new collaboration features? Simply fill in the form below and I’ll be in touch to set up a call. Your name and email is all we need to get moving (but if you want to include a message, feel free to do that, too.)
